Late Rally by Dirty Reds Secures Win
San Mateo and Philadelphia 1776 duked it out at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum and the Dirty Reds came out victorious.

A 4-RBI performance from the 29-year old right fielder Tom Burton helped the San Mateo Dirty Reds beat the Philadelphia 1776 BC, 10-7. The win was credited to Matt Digby in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Magnus Belli took the loss.

Burton had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch sinker from Magnus Belli, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Dirty Reds a 10-7 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Burton.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Burton told the San Mateo Times.

San Mateo, now 8-4, has gotten their season off to a good start.
