The Kent Comets picked up a win at Waterfall Park, knocking off the Niagara Falls Expos, 4-2. Starting pitcher Eddie de Vlaming was an essential part of his team's success. Lorenzo Encarnación was called on to finish, recording his 25th save. The last-place Expos have lost 4 consecutive games.

Kent used the clutch hitting of Pedro Durán to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Comets the lead, 3-2. For the game, Durán had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
