Torch Need Extra Frames to Get Past Storm
The Torch had to overcome a good performance from Syracuse pitcher Steve Young to claim a 4-2 win at Storm Park. Young went 7.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Mancelona reliever Diyaa Ababneh picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-1. Dave Miller was collared with the loss. Mancelona is 5th in the Silver A with a record of 46-43.

Obiniana Romulo made it 3-2, Mancelona, in the top of the 15th when he hit a sacrifice fly. It was a big at-bat in the Torch win.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Romulo. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
