Hawks Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Reapers
Laredo got a strong outing from Sylvain Richard as the Hawks defeated the Grim Reapers, 5-2, at Hawks Field. Laredo reliever Mark Taylor picked up the win to move to 3-1. Radislav Ciger suffered the loss. Javier Iturburua closed the game out for Laredo, earning his 30th save.

Quitério Ruah contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that propelled Laredo to the win.

"Sylvain's tempo and rhythm were good," said Hawks manager Leonardo Sánchez. "He was the key to us winning."

Laredo now has a 3-game win streak.
