Delaware beat Grim on the strength of starter Steve Baker's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 5-3 win. Chris Plautz, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save. Delaware leads the Silver A by 2½ games.

Delaware used the timely hitting of Ayub Kuthakwakulu to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the 1787 BC on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Baker called the triumph "a good team win."
