The Syracuse Storm picked up a win at Storm Park, knocking off the Grim Reapers, 5-3. Starting pitcher Steve Young, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. In 8 innings, Young surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 4. He allowed 3 runs. The Storm raised their record to 36-37.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Grim hurler César Castillo, Pat Deakin, who is tied for 4th in the SA in doubles with 20, hit a double. The Storm went on to win.
