Multi-HR Game for Sifuentes in 6-3 Win
|
With left fielder Esteban Sifuentes leading the charge, the Laredo Hawks defeated the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-3, at Waterfall Park. Sifuentes, who is tied for 7th in the SA in hits with 78, slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Javier Iturburua nailed down his 26th save. Laredo has now won 5 straight.
Sifuentes came through with some timely hitting for Laredo. With the score 2-1 in the top of the fourth and one down, Sifuentes hit a 2-1 changeup for a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season made it 4-1, Laredo.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Niagara Falls manager Alan Manor.
