Niagara Falls right fielder Kien Thum had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Thum went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, even as Alameda beat the Expos, 7-6. Thum was named the player of the game despite the loss. Alameda reliever Rafael Ramos picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Norm Mullins was collared with the loss. The Airmen saw their record improve to 36-32.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when right fielder Miguel Angel Criado hit a double. The Airmen went on to win.

Criado told a Alameda Daily News reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
