Victory Pushes Comets Record to 37-31
Mancelona got a terrific performance from pitcher Eric Blevins, but it wasn't enough to beat the Kent Comets. Kent won the Fuller Park contest, 3-1. Blevins was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The Comets bumped their record to 37-31 with this latest triumph.

Kent took a 3-1 lead on Tom Lewis's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Lewis hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Mancelona pitcher Eric Blevins shaking his head.

"The effort we put into this one paid off," Lewis said.
