Niagara Falls right-hander Enrique García helped his team edge Walla Walla by the score of 3-2. García kept the opposing lineup in check. García got the win, improving to 1-7. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 6 innings. García allowed 1 earned run. Manuel Sánchez earned the save, his 3rd.
Niagara Falls used the timely hitting of Alex Joly to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Expos on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," García said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
Niagara Falls occupies last place in the Silver A at 19-47.
