The Reapers faced a stiff challenge from Laredo pitcher Daryl Benstead, but persevered to claim a win at The Coffin. The final score was 3-2. Benstead went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Grim reliever Jhon Aimar picked up the win, upping his record to 7-1. Shigeaki Shikichi shouldered the loss. Gabriel Leeds, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 11th save.

Grim took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two out, designated hitter Joe Holmes hit a solo home run that electrified the crowd.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Holmes said.

The 8th-place Reapers raised their record to 31-34.
