Reapers Stymie Laredo, Take 5-1 Win
|
Grim played host to Laredo at the friendly confines of The Coffin.
With left fielder Shawn Kyllo leading the charge, the Grim Reapers defeated the Laredo Hawks, 5-1, at The Coffin. Kyllo, who is tied for 4th in the SA in bases on balls with 30, was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Grim reliever César Castillo picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Martin Rumbolt shouldered the loss.
The Reapers picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Laredo manager Leonardo Sánchez. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
Grim is now 30-34.
