Romero goes 3-for-5 in Storm Win
The Syracuse Storm beat the Alameda Airmen, 9-4, at Alameda Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Francisco Romero, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Shawn Hanna, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 3-4. The 5th-place Storm improved to 32-28.

Romero put Syracuse up, 4-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Kurt Adams in the top of the third. His 6th home run of the season helped the Storm capture the win.
