The Delaware 1787 BC beat the Alameda Airmen, 8-5, at Carrier Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Jared Guth, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Allen Brown finished the game for Delaware and earned his 1st save. Delaware bumps their record to 32-22 with the win.

Guth had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch cutter from Nick Joseph, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the 1787 BC a 8-5 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Guth.

"We'll enjoy this win for now, but it's just one," Guth told local reporters. "We've got to keep it going."
