Kent pitcher Michael Ramsey did his part in helping his team beat the Mancelona Torch, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The save went to Elliot Roebuck, his 3rd this season. Kent is now 28-24, Mancelona 28-24.
Roberto Méndez hit a run-scoring double off Bryan Workman in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Comets in front, 4-3. In addition to the double, Méndez had 1 single, while going 2 for 3.
"Enjoyed this one," Ramsey told the Kent Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
