Another game, another loss for the struggling Alameda Airmen.
The Walleye grabbed a win, 5-1, at Walleye Tank, overcoming a fine effort from Alameda pitcher Steven Evans. Evans went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The losing streak for Alameda has now reached 8 games.
Walla Walla took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, Jim Santos stroked a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Walleye.
"We've hit a rough patch right now," said Alameda skipper Juan Salinas.
