Reapers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Storm Park.
The Reapers had to overcome a fine performance from Syracuse pitcher Jeff Davis to grab a 5-1 win at Storm Park. Davis allowed no earned runs over 7 innings. Grim reliever Jhon Aimar picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Shawn Hanna shouldered the loss.
David Filmer stroked a bases-clearing double off Shawn Hanna in the top of the 13th, which put the Reapers on top, 4-1. In addition to the double, Filmer had 1 single and 1 triple, while going 3 for 5.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Reapers manager Enrique Zumaya, "I like our chances."
Grim is now 18-17.
