Cabrera Hits 2 home runs in Storm Win
|
Ignacio Cabrera knocked in all 3 runs for the Syracuse Storm, helping them beat the Tennessee Smokies, 3-2. Steve Young, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 10. His record now stands at 3-2. Tennessee is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 11 in a row.
Cabrera put Syracuse up, 3-0, when he hit a 2-run home run off Joe Yoder in the bottom of the third. His 5th home run of the season helped the Storm capture the win.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Tennessee skipper Francisco Barrera.
