5 Straight Wins for Comets
The Kent Comets eked out a 2-1 win versus the Niagara Falls Expos at Waterfall Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Michael Ramsey, who captured player of the game honors. Kent reliever Elliot Roebuck picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Casey Ball shouldered the loss. Niagara Falls, at 4-20, has lost 11 straight.

Roberto Méndez, who is tied for 9th in the SA in RBI with 15, aided the Kent cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 1 for 3.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Niagara Falls manager Alan Manor.
