Hawks Squelch Reapers Offense in Shutout Win
It was a fun time at Hawks Field, where the Grim Reapers and Laredo Hawks tangled.

The Laredo Hawks got a good effort from starter Sylvain Richard in defeating the Grim Reapers at Hawks Field. The final score was 4-0. Richard, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks.

The Hawks ran into trouble in the top of the second. The score was 1-0, Laredo, with one out. Grim, with runners on 1st and 2nd, had Jim Rigsby at the plate. With a base hit, he could have changed the complexion of the game. Instead, he struck out and the Hawks went on to win.
