The inspired effort of Tennessee catcher Mike Hunt was not enough to prevent a 5-3 loss to the Laredo Hawks. Hunt was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. Olivier Nogues, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. Laredo has now won 3 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Laredo, had it not been for Juan Oleastro, the 22-year old right fielder . Oleastro contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Laredo up, 3-1.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Oleastro.
