The Las Vegas Flamingos got a strong performance from pitcher Kagetoki Matsubara, who stymied the Chicago offense en route to a 3-0 win at Silver Sox Park. Las Vegas is last in the Premier League with a record of 29-79.

Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Eric Deweese to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Flamingos on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Las Vegas manager JJ Hoban. "Our pregame was pretty good."
