Getting a good performance from catcher Sam Hamilton, the Kent Comets defeated the Niagara Falls Expos, 10-5. Hamilton was 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Comets. Henry Terry picked up the save for Kent, his 1st of the year. Kent, at 2-0, is off to a blistering start.

One of the key players for the Comets was third baseman Mike Fisher, who drilled a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, Fisher was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles.
