Multi-HR Game for Ferris in 4-3 Win
|
In a tight contest at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, the Louisiana Dragoons edged the Yucca Valley Yellows by the score of 4-3. Louisiana second baseman David Ferris, who blasted 2 home runs, was named the player of the game. Fernando Alou picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-3. He struck out 5 in 6.1 innings. Freddy León, credited with the save, is now 2 for 4 in save opportunities.
Louisiana took a 4-2 lead on Ferris's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which he hit off Felipe López in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Louisiana to the win.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Ferris.
The Dragoons now have a mark of 36-54.
