Grand Forks third baseman Bert Allison made his presence felt in the 4-3 Caterpillars triumph over the Levittown Blue Dragons. Allison was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs. Grand Forks reliever Carlos Menéndez was the winner. His record is now 3-3. The losing pitcher was John St. John. Sekien Saromi earned the save for Grand Forks, his 14th of the year.
Grand Forks took a 4-1 lead on Allison's 50th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which he hit off Jing-sheng Bian in the top of the sixth, propelled Grand Forks to the win.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Levittown manager William Smith. "The effort was great."
