Ennis drives in 3 runs, Patriots Move to 64-42
|
The Boston Patriots bested the Greenville 84s by a score of 11-5, with first baseman John Ennis getting the main credit. On the day, Ennis went 2 for 2 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3 for the Patriots. Boston, now 64-42, holds second place in the Premier League.
Boston used a timely hit from Juan Macíel to get the win. The left fielder delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the first inning to put the Patriots on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I felt good up there," said Macíel. "I saw the ball well."
