Victory Over Blue Dragons Takes Caldwell to 48-27
|
Jake Mitchell pitched a gem to lead Caldwell to a 3-1 victory over the Levittown Blue Dragons. Rubén Medina sewed up the save, his 18th. The Chiefs own a robust 48-27 mark.
The result might have been different for Caldwell, had it not been for You-liang Yang, the 23-year old center fielder . Yang stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Caldwell up, 2-0. For the game, he had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Caldwell manager Hugh Harris. "Our pregame was pretty good."
