Palladium Sox Get One-Run Win at Chesapeake
|
Virginia and Chesapeake duked it out at Chesapeake Grounds and the Palladium Sox came out victorious.
Virginia Palladium Sox starter Matt Elmore was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Chesapeake Continentals, 1-0. Joel Plowden finished the game for Virginia and earned his 6th save.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Chesapeake hurler Mario Quintero, Jesús Amengual drew a walk. The Palladium Sox went on to win.
"I like our moxie," said Palladium Sox manager Ezequiel Chosson.
The second-place Palladium Sox have won 4 consecutive games.
