Wang Delivers Walk-Off Win for Love Boats
|
Olympia got a terrific performance from pitcher Bruno Zoido, but it wasn't enough to beat the Lake Minnetonka Love Boats. Lake Minnetonka won the Heron Field contest, 5-4. Zoido was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. Lake Minnetonka reliever Rainer Ausmus picked up the win to move to 2-2. Eric Mason suffered the loss. Lake Minnetonka, at 37-24, occupies second place in the Premier AA.
Ding-bong Wang, who is tied for 5th in the PAA in runs scored with 42, chipped in for Lake Minnetonka with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Wang.
