Krewe Stun Sixshooters, 6-4
|
The Crescent City Krewe topped the Westwood Sixshooters by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Vitorio Flores. Flores was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Krewe on the day. Crescent City reliever Jorge Martínez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. José Martínez took the loss. Crescent City is now 27-33, Westwood 36-24.
Flores had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 changeup from José Martínez, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Krewe a 6-4 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Flores.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Flores said after the game.
