Goodbrand Helps Thunder Hawks Beat Ogres
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks defeated the Olympia Ogres, 12-7, at The Ogre Den today. Leading the charge for Ft. Polk South was catcher Kyle Goodbrand. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 7. Ft. Polk South reliever António Morterero picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Roberto Sáenz was saddled with the loss. The Ogres, at 18-41, have lost 4 straight games.

Ft. Polk South used the timely hitting of Madhavacharta Bhavalakar to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thunder Hawks on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We maximized our offense today," said Ft. Polk South skipper John Anderson. "That makes everyone's life easier."
