Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Continentals
The Chesapeake Grounds faithful were treated to a dramatic, walk-off win.

The Chesapeake Continentals downed the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 11-10, at Chesapeake Grounds. The Continentals were led by Woong Byeon, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 6 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Chesapeake reliever Wesley van Klaveren picked up the win to move to 3-0. Mike Preston suffered the loss.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Chesapeake left fielder William Anderson, facing Annamaya Rakhi, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Continentals the 11-10 win.

"This game tested our mettle," said Anderson.

Chesapeake, at 30-25, occupies 6th place in the Premier AA.
