Palladium Sox Pin 7-5 Loss on Screaming Eagles
|
The Virginia Palladium Sox defeated the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-5, at Palladium Labs. Virginia right fielder Ricardo Mireles was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Palladium Sox saw their win-loss record go to 31-23. At the same time, the Screaming Eagles fell to 32-22.
Virginia grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the sixth, when Mireles, who is tied for 3rd in the PAA in total bases with 108, hit a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season put the Palladium Sox out in front, 7-5.
Mireles told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
