Krewe Stymie Westwood, Take 2-0 Win
|
Crescent City Krewe starter Gerhard Karge turned in a top-notch performance against the Westwood Sixshooters at Field of the Krewe. The result was a win for the Krewe, 2-0. Crescent City, at 17-26, occupies 8th place in the Premier AA.
The Krewe benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the second. With Adam Smith at bat and Crescent City leading 1-0, the Westwood miscue allowed Crescent City to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"The old adage is true," said Karge. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
