Virginia and Ithaca duked it out at Imps Park and the Palladium Sox came out victorious.

The Virginia Palladium Sox downed the Ithaca Fighting Imps, 6-3, at Imps Park. The Palladium Sox were led by Juan Ocasio, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Sergio Gallegos got the win, improving to 3-3. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The save went to Héctor Cantú, his 3rd this season.

Ocasio came through with some timely hitting for Virginia. With the score 0-0 in the top of the third and one down, Ocasio hit a 2-2 changeup for a run-scoring triple. His 3rd triple of the season made it 1-0, Virginia.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ocasio told the Virginia Citizen.
