Thunder Hawks Beat Shooters in 10
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks eked out a 4-3 win versus the Springfield Shooters at Springfield Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher António García, who captured player of the game honors. The win was Scott Richardson's in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Mario Fuentes took the loss for Springfield. Springfield's current losing streak has reached 11 games.

Ft. Polk South used the clutch hitting of Quincy Wass to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Thunder Hawks the lead, 4-3. For the game, Wass had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Springfield manager Martin Richards.
