Streaking White Walkers Win Another One
|
Buffalo withstood an impressive performance by Las Vegas second baseman Freedon Akinmoladun to defeat the Flamingos, 5-3, at The Strip. Akinmoladun went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Dave Dunn, who went 5.2 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 8-7. This win makes it 7 in a row for Buffalo.
Buffalo used a timely hit from Cisco Feijoo to get the win. The shortstop delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the second inning to put the White Walkers on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
Feijoo attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
