Su-min Im was instrumental in his team's 10-4 triumph over the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks. The second baseman went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Brian Duncan was the winner. Over 8 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. The defending champion Screaming Eagles have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 8-8 with the win.

Kata Naito helped out the Mercer Island cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
