The Thunder Hawks had to overcome a good performance from Crescent City pitcher John Combs to claim a 5-2 win at Field of the Krewe. Combs went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Scott Richardson earned the save, his 2nd. With the loss, Crescent City is 7-8.

António Etxebarria was a prime contributor to the Ft. Polk South win. He went 1-3 with a double and 2 walks. In the top of the sixth with one out, the 21-year old shortstop hit a run-scoring double. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Thunder Hawks.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Etxebarria said.
