Reed Now 1-0 After Subduing Generals
|
The Athletic Club KC U-24 eked out a 1-0 win versus the Washington Generals at Washington Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Reggie Reed, who captured player of the game honors. Earning his 1st save of the year was Taine Poutini. The Generals fall to 5-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Reed, now 1-0, scattered 4 hits over 8 innings for the U-24.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Athletic Club KC manager Lou Boone.
