Rainbow Mermaids Lose to White Walkers, 6-2
|
The Buffalo White Walkers got a stellar effort from pitcher Kent Good, helping Buffalo score a 6-2 win over the visiting Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. Buffalo reliever Keith Rojas picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Adrián Padilla took the loss. Buffalo has now won 5 games in a row.
One of the clutch hits for Buffalo came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh with two out, Je-myung Yu, who is on pace to hit 30 home runs this season, hit a 2-run double to put the White Walkers up, 5-2. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
In postgame comments to the Buffalo Citizen, Yu said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
