Continentals Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Chesapeake Continentals took Ft. Polk South pitcher Ralph Owens's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Thunder Hawks Ballpark. The final score had Chesapeake getting past the Thunder Hawks, 8-4. Owens went 5 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 7. Chesapeake has a mark of 6-1 after the win.

Chesapeake used the timely hitting of Tolenka Kafengauz to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Continentals on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"This is truly a great team to play with," Kafengauz said after the game. "We're like brothers, and when we come together to pull out the win, that just makes it all the better."
