Casper starter Tomás Mata pitched effectively against the Akron Blimps at The Graveyard. The right-hander led his team to a 6-1 win. Mata got the win, improving to 3-10. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. Mata allowed no earned runs. The 'W' lifts Casper's record to 47-55.
General Booty made an early impact for Casper when he stroked his 81st hit of the season. The 2-run single, which came with one out in the bottom of the second, put the Ghosts on top, 3-0.
Booty told a Casper Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
