Shuckers Win 3-2 Walk-Off
|
The Biloxi Shuckers defeated the Lancaster Farmers, 3-2, in USSL Double A action at The Pizza Oven, with Biloxi pitcher Samuel Tuffley named player of the game. Marc Olsen, credited with the win, is now 5-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Biloxi is 9th in the Silver AA with a record of 38-56.
Steve Marwat was the walk-off hero for Biloxi. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shuckers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Marwat said.
