The Yakima Hops trumped the Minnesota Loons, 14-11, at Loony Bin. Yakima catcher Tak-wai Jia was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Yakima reliever Logan Barker was credited with the win, to go to 3-2. Jerry Williams took the loss for Minnesota. Yakima used the timely hitting of Damon Cross to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hops ahead, 13-11. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was an important one.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Phillip Tinker.
