The Akron Blimps grabbed a 7-2 win over the Lancaster Farmers at Farmers Field. Akron first baseman Paul Bader was 1 for 2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors. Ismael Pérez, credited with the win, is now 6-1. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits in 6 innings. Lancaster has now lost 5 in a row.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the third, with the game tied, Charlie Cummings was at the plate when Akron scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Blimps to go in front, 2-1.

In postgame comments to the Akron Gazette, Cummings said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
