|
Akron right-hander Forest Bell pitched his team to victory over the Minnesota Loons at Goodyear Hanger Dome. The final score was 4-1. The winning pitcher was Bell, now 9-3. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7. At 52-32, the Blimps have a slim two-game lead in the Silver AA.
Cristo Correa Jr., the Akron right fielder, contributed a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 3-1, Blimps. For the game, Correa Jr. went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Correa Jr. said.
