Hops Walk It Off for 40th Win of Season
The Yakima Hops electrified the home crowd at Hops Park with a walk-off win.

The Akron Blimps got a superb performance from pitcher Billy Francis. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Yakima. The Hops won the game, 3-2. In spite of the loss, Francis was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. The 6th-place Hops raised their record to 40-40.

León Sandoval had the critical at-bat for Yakima. With no one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Yakima the 3-2 walk-off win.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Sandoval.
