Benefiting from General Booty's productive game, the Casper Ghosts downed the Akron Blimps, 11-7. Booty was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Ghosts. Lucas Gameiro picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Buzzy Grossman was tagged with the loss. Casper has now won 5 games in a row.
With Casper leading 9-7 in the top of the fifth, Booty hit a cutter from Tom Lewis for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Ghosts ahead, 11-7.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Booty said.
