Govaart Baars knocked in 5 runs to help Irving beat Atlantic City, 10-5. The shortstop collected 1 single, 2 doubles, and 1 home run. Donnie Rawling picked up the save, his 1st. The 9th-place Blue Sox improved to 31-46.

Irving took a 9-5 lead on Baars's 15th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which he hit off Don Yi in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Irving to the win.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Atlantic City manager Juan López. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
